Amazon Elasticsearch Service doubles maximum cluster capacity with 200 node cluster support
Amazon Elasticsearch Service now supports 200 node Elasticsearch clusters, allowing you to run large analytics applications with high throughput and large data volume requirements on a single cluster. Using I3 instances that can store up to 15 terabytes of data per node, you can store up to 3 petabytes of data in a single cluster.
With the ability to provision twice the number of instances than before, you can support more demanding workloads that require higher ingestion and query rates, and need more JVM memory to operate efficiently. You can also set up more replicas to increase redundancy and boost query throughput. In addition, you can now store a significantly larger volume of logs than before, and extend the duration for which you retain log data. Support for 200 node Amazon Elasticsearch Service clusters is available across 16 regions globally: US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), US West (Oregon, N. California), AWS GovCloud (US), Canada (Central), South America (Sao Paulo), EU (Ireland, London, Frankfurt, Paris), and Asia Pacific (Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai).
