Today, AWS Marketplace launched service-linked role for AWS Marketplace Resale Authorization that allows AWS Marketplace sellers such as Independent Software Vendors (ISV), Consulting Partners and Channel Partners to share and accept resale authorizations.

A service-linked role (SLR) is an IAM role that allows AWS services, such as AWS Marketplace, to manage your AWS resources on your behalf. AWS Marketplace now leverages service-linked roles for resource sharing between parties. AWS Marketplace sellers and channel partners can create the service-linked role under the Settings tab within AWS Marketplace Management Portal. This one-time step is required in order for an ISV to share resale authorization with Channel Partners or for a Channel Partner to accept a resale authorization from an ISV.
