Managing your calls over the Christmas period

News

As most businesses will be closing or working with a reduced number of staff over Christmas, it's useful to be able to route your calls differently. When using Dial 9 for your phone system, we recommend using Presets and Preset Rules to redirect your calls elsewhere.

For example, you can simply play a greeting that tells customers you're closed over Christmas and when you're open again, maybe with a voicemail box attached as well. Or, you might want to forward your calls to someone's mobile, who will be on-call for the period.

You can find guides for creating a Preset for that purpose, then one or more (possibly just two) Preset Rules to automatically schedule activating and deactivating the preset, rather than having to remember to log in to your service to press the button at the correct time.

If you need any assistance getting your Christmas hours in place, please don't hesitate to get in touch via phone, email, or live chat.

We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas break.
