Amazon DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility) is a database service that is purpose-built for JSON data management at scale, fully managed and integrated with AWS, and enterprise-ready with high durability.

Today, Amazon DocumentDB added support for the Decimal128 data type. Decimal128 is a BSON data type and provides 128 bits of decimal representation supporting 34 decimal digits of precision and an exponent range of -6143 to +6144.

For more information on supported MongoDB APIs, operations, and data types, see our documentation. The Decimal128 data type is supported in all regions where DocumentDB is available. If you are new to Amazon DocumentDB, the getting started guide will show you how to quickly provision an Amazon DocumentDB cluster and explore the flexibility of the document model.
