Is your company hiring for a database position as of August 2021? Do you wanna work with the kinds of people who read this blog? Let’s set up some rapid networking here. If your company is hiring, leave a comment.
The rules:
- Your comment must include the job title, and either a link to the full job description, or the text of it. It doesn’t have to be a SQL Server DBA job, but it does have to be related to databases. (We get a pretty broad readership here – it can be any database.)
- An email address to send resumes, or a link to the application process – if I were you, I’d put an email address because you may want to know that applicants are readers here, because they might be more qualified than the applicants you regularly get.
- Please state the location and include REMOTE and/or VISA when that sort of candidate is welcome. When remote work is not an option, include ONSITE.
- Please only post if you personally are part of the hiring company—no recruiting firms or job boards. Only one post per company. If it isn’t a household name, please explain what your company does.
- Commenters: please don’t reply to job posts to complain about something. It’s off topic here.
- Readers: please only email if you are personally interested in the job.
If your comment isn’t relevant or smells fishy, I’ll delete it. If you have questions about why your comment got deleted, or how to maximize the effectiveness of your comment, contact me.
I close the comments here after 1 week, and publish another post each month in the Who’s Hiring category so y’all can get the latest opportunities.
If you want to be notified as people leave new job comments here, there’s a “subscribe without commenting” option where you leave a comment.

We’re hiring at Fauna – both database engineers and developer advocates. We’re an all REMOTE company, so all positions are REMOTE as well. Did I mention everything’s REMOTE?
Fauna is the data API for modern applications. We’ve built a globally distributed, highly performant database with ACID transactions. Users access it via an API, with nothing to manage. We take on all the complexity typically associated with database and distributed system operations so that our users don’t have to.
I’m personally hiring for a Senior or Principal Developer Advocate – role is here: https://apply.workable.com/fauna/j/7942291C74/
If you’re interested, please email me at rob (at) fauna (dot) com or set up a 25-minute time on my Calendly: https://calendly.com/robsutter
You’ll also find engineering roles here – https://fauna.com/careers#job-listings – although I’m not the hiring manager I’m happy to speak with you about them and get your resume in front of the right people.
Look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your career goals and how Fauna can help achieve them!
salesforce concept?
If you mean a SaaS/Serverless model of delivery, yes!
Users sign up for a free account, create a database, and CRUD your data without provisioning any servers or creating any clusters .
Hi Rob. Do you accept candidates from abroad? I am located in New Zealand, by the way. If you require a database specialist bilingual, just let me know. I recently got my certification with AZ-900, and I am doing other stuff with Oracle. My contact number is +6421942206 just in case, and my Linkedin profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/jairo-alberto-suarez-carrillo/
Thanks for the interest, Jairo. Sent you a message on LinkedIn.
Come and work with me as a senior Microsoft data platform consultant!
What: Microsoft data platform consulting, mostly medium-to-long term projects. Only senior applicants with extensive consulting experience considered.
Where: Sweden. Onsite or remote depends entirely on client requirements. Swedish working permit required. Preferably Swedish/Scandinavian-speaking, but negotiable.
Compensation: Small guaranteed monthly salary plus competitive share of your billed work. Private health insurance. Paid travel to conferences. Generous vacation time.
Structured Concepts AB is a one-man consulting shop with a profitable, 7-year track record and I’m looking to grow the business with some senior colleagues. If you want to work with me, you’ll “eat what you kill” meaning that you’ll be largely responsible for finding your own work, although I will obviously open up my network to you and introduce you to clients, partners, agencies, etc.
I think you’ll find the freedom to choose your own work and clients, develop professionally, attend conferences and schedule your own vacations. Like a startup, but for grownups.
Drop me a note at hello@strd.co if you’re interested.

We’re looking for a talented MSSQL resource with solid knowledge of the MSSQL platform. We’re far along on a journey to implement a global data warehouse on top of >40 legacy systems and we’ve got over 200 data flows. We’ve implemented a good amount of the fancy stuff like temporal tables, window functions, incremental refresh to Power BI Premium.. there is a lot you will have fun with.
Exposure to older systems (think AS400, FoxPro) is a plus, experience with Power BI is an even bigger plus.
ah, talended but resource
Exactly, we are all “resources”, like the cars, the buildings and the shovels 🙂
Hi Dan
Does the company offer a sponsorship visa?
Thanks
Heap has two especially database-heavy jobs, both of which are REMOTE within western U.S. or eastern Australia time zones (regardless of your actual country — we might consider other U.S. time zones as well):
Software Engineer – Data Platform (Staff, Office of CTO) https://grnh.se/162cd5991us
Software Engineer – Data Platform (Senior/Staff): https://grnh.se/6547cc7d1us
The current database platform is distributed PostgreSQL using CitusDB, running on AWS. I say “current” because we have petabytes of data and some interesting performance challenges, and if you can bring solid, realistic ideas for improving our data platform, we’re willing to listen — it’s basically expected for the Office of CTO position. You can read about the current architecture at https://www.citusdata.com/customers/heap and in various blog posts at https://heap.io/blog.
Heap is a product-analytics company, helping customers get the most out of their web and mobile data. We auto-capture data, so users don’t have to define all their events in advance, and with our new Illuminate offering, we’re showing users proactive insights about their data that they didn’t realize they needed.
You can apply at the links above. I’m happy to answer questions too. You can contact me at andrew.brobston (at) heap.io.
