Amazon Neptune has simplified the console experience for creating Neptune clusters and Neptune notebooks. The new experience allows you to provision a new cluster and a new notebook instance at the same time. Now, customers only need to take one step to get started with Amazon Neptune.
Getting started with graph applications is easy when you use the Neptune workbench, which enables you to query your Neptune cluster using Jupyter notebooks hosted by Amazon SageMaker. Using the new console, you can get started in minutes to walkthrough tutorials of popular graph use cases such as fraud detection, knowledge graphs, and identity resolution on a Neptune notebook. You can also learn graph query fundamentals using sample datasets for Apache TinkerPop Gremlin and RDF SPARQL, both of which are supported languages on Amazon Neptune.
The new experience is available today when you visit the Amazon Neptune console. When you click to “Create Database”, you can use the Notebook configuration field to create a notebook for use with the new Neptune cluster.
For more information on Neptune availability and pricing, please visit the AWS Region Table and the Neptune pricing page. Notebooks are hosted and billed through SageMaker’s notebook service. Customers are charged for the notebook instance while the instance is in Ready state.
