Microsoft SQL Server point-in-time recovery is now generally available for Amazon RDS on VMware

Posted on: Dec 23, 2020

Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) on VMware is a service that delivers AWS-managed relational databases in on-premises VMware environments. RDS on VMware customers running SQL Server can now recover their databases using point-in-time recovery for database recovery and duplication.

Point-in-time recovery, the ability to recover a database to the state of a specific time, allows for recovery of a database from corruption or the duplication of the data to a new database providing data consistency for the specified time.
