The Kendo UI R2 2018 Release is Coming!

The new Kendo UI release – R2 2018 – is coming on May 16th and there are some great new features coming for every framework version. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll see in this new release.

New Conversation UI (Chatbot) Components

Included in R2 are new chatbot components for all framework libraries. These provide the key support you need to develop conversation UI applications.

New Sample Apps

We’ve added a number of new sample apps and examples for specific technologies, including PWAs, Electron, and Cloud-based apps.

jQuery Updates

For Kendo UI for jQuery, we’ve added a new DropDownTree component to our jQuery library based on popular request.

New React Components

Kendo UI for React components now include support for localization. New components built from the ground up with React include Charts, DatePicker, TimePicker, ComboBox, and Switch. We’ve also enhanced the features in the Reatc grid to include In-line and In-cell editing, Grouping, and PDF and Excel export, and many more features.

New Angular Components and Features

Kendo UI for Angular enhancements include new Menu, Tooltip, and Toolbar components. We’ve also extended support for the Angular Grid with new features, and added new Material theme features.

New Vue Components

For Kendo UI for Vue, we’ve added a new Vue DropDownTree component, and extended the Vue ecosystem to include support for Vuex and other libraries.

Kendo UI R2 will be released on May 16th, 2018 and will be available on the Kendo UI web pages for download. Existing customers can grab the new release right away, and new users can sign up for our free 30 day trial to get started.
