The R3 2020 Service Pack release of Telerik UI for WinForms is now live! Enjoy a wide range of enhancements and customer-requested features.

Customers’ satisfaction is always our top priority, so in this Service Pack we focused on addressing recently reported issues. Additionally, we have introduced the most voted new features. Let’s unpack the Service Pack!

Hide/Unhide a Sheet in RadSpreadsheet

The SheetSelector's context menu allows hiding/unhiding a sheet. It utilizes the Sheets Visibility functionality in the RadSpreadProcessing library.

"Hide" - hides the selected sheet. If this is the last visible sheet, an alert is shown that it is not possible to hide it.

"Unhide..." - enabled if there is at least one hidden sheet. Shows a dialog when clicked. In the dialog the user can select, which sheets to unhide.

DataMatrix Barcode

We have a new addition to the 2D-Barcodes family. Data Matrix barcode is a two-dimensional type of code used widely in industry for marking small parts and items due to its high data density and reliability. Data Matrix code consists of dark and light square cells that form a matrix. The produced code can be square or rectangular and can have size up to 144x144 for square codes or 16x48 for rectangular codes. To provide better readability, the Data Matrix code includes an error correction algorithm, allowing you to reconstruct up to 30% of a damaged code image.

RadSplitContainer Improvements

RadSplitContainer comes with left and right arrow buttons on every SplitterElement for easier navigation. Thus, the users are able to collapse the SplitPanels to the desired location.

The new DefaultCollapseDirection property gives you the opportunity to specify the default collapse direction. For horizontal splitters, you can set RadDirection.Up or RadDirection.Down. For vertical splitters, you can set RadDirection.Left or RadDirection.Right.

XLS Exports

RadSpreadProcessing library now supports XlsFormatProvider, which makes it easy to import and export to XLS (Excel 97-2003 Workbook) files. GridViewSpreadExport, PivotGridSpreadExport and the rest of the Telerik WinForms spread exports that rely on the library now allow exporting to XLS as well.

RadSpreadsheet also supports exporting to XLS format.

.NET Core 3.1 Design Time Support

We are thrilled to announce that the Telerik UI for WinForms suite now provides design time support for .NET Core 3.1. Toolbox improvements are also released and now all controls are visible in toolbox. Stay tuned for what is coming next.

Do not forget that the design time assemblies in .NET Core are resolved via the installed in the project NuGet packages. In order use the new designers, please make sure that the following requirements are met:
