Posted on: Jul 28, 2020

AWS Marketplace, AWS Data Exchange, AWS IQ, and EC2 Reserved Instances Marketplace now support invoice payments in 13 additional currencies, in addition to our existing support for US Dollars (USD). This will help relieve your accounting department of the burden of paying and tracking conversion fees and other costs associated with the use of foreign currencies.

Starting today, you can choose to be billed in the following currencies for third-party software and data products:

  • AUD - Australian Dollar
  • CAD - Canadian Dollar
  • CHF - Swiss Francs
  • DKK - Danish Kroner
  • EUR - Euro
  • GBP - British Pounds
  • HKD - Hong Kong Dollars
  • JPY - Japanese Yen
  • NOK - Norwegian Krone*
  • NZD - New Zealand Dollars
  • SEK - Swedish Kronor
  • SGD - Singapore Dollars**
  • USD- US Dollars
  • ZAR - South African Rand

*Credit card payments are supported only for NOK. Invoices with terms on NOK are not supported.
**Invoices with terms are supported only for SGD. Credit card payments on SGD are not supported.

Once you specify your preferred currency in the AWS Billing Console, all future invoices for AWS Marketplace, AWS Data Exchange, AWS IQ, and EC2 Reserved Instance Marketplace will be converted to your preferred currency. In addition, this feature supports local currency payment for all transactions, including AWS Marketplace Private Offers. Currency preferences will be used in the Billing Console Dashboard, the Bills page, and in your Payment History and currency preferences can be changed at any time. Pricing for third-party software in AWS Marketplace, third-party data in AWS Data Exchange, AWS IQ products and the AWS Billing Reports will still be shown in USD.

Note: Changing your preferred currency changes your remittance instructions. To view updated remittance instructions, see your AWS invoice or view the Account Settings page in the AWS Billing and Cost Management console.
