This post has been replaced by a new one.

I’ve been given a Dell PowerEdge 720. It contains 8 x 400GB SSDs.

I’ve added in a SAS 9207-8i card, as mentioned yesterday.

FreeBSD is not installed. I booted the system up via mfsBSD and had a look at dmesg output.
